This is How We Do It

Doesn't the vest remind you of vintage Versace? I really wish it was but it's just a regular vintage vest from an unknown brand. But, who really cares it looks great! I decided to pair the vest with some distressed jeans that I bought awhile back from Cotton On. I bought these jeans last year during the Black Friday mayhem and to be honest, I did not have faith that they would last more than a few months; however to my surprise they did. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing Cotton On's jeans the quality is amazing! My pair still looks great and it has almost been a year!

The Moon and the Sky

Florals and a tennis court. A unexpected, yet intriguing combination for my outfit choice. Unfortunately,  I have found myself taking multiple blog photos in what I consider my "sacred" spot because let's face it, when your doing a summer internship, the last thing you want to do is scope out places around the city to take pictures. What I really want to do is lay down, watch Netflix and skim through my Instagram timeline. For this reason, expect to see a great deal of tennis-themed blog picture backgrounds this summer.

As I have said multiple times in my blog, I am a sucker for thrift clothing. I find it captivating that there was once a time that the item(s) were once as popular as skinny jeans...

Head Over Heels

Did you get the Tears for Fears reference in the title? I am a 90s child by birth, but lately I have been getting a lot of my fashion inspiration from the 80s. I attribute my newly found obsession to binge watching The Carrie Diaries on Netflix. Back then, fashion was fun, wild and daring. Bold prints, outrageous lipstick colors and neon clothing could be found on any street corner. All of these reasons were why I wanted to bring a little bit of the 80s to the 2000s.

I am not sure what I loved most about this outfit--the leopard skirt or the black crop top. Both of them had a place in the 80s (think leopard leotards)!
