Makeup by One Direction

If you've been following my blog for the past month or so, you probably recall seeing a post where I talk about One Direction's new make-up line. Recently, I was asked by Markwins Beauty to give my review on Make Up by One Direction.

I was sent the "Up all Night Kit." Upon receiving the kit, I was really pleased with the quality of the makeup. In this post I'll give my honest review of this collection.

Lipstick: The lipstick on the outside was definitely a pretty color but unfortunately, it did not show up on my lips when I applied it. I believe this lipstick is more suitable for those with lighter skin tones. 

Eye and body crayon: I really really liked this crayon. What I really enjoyed most about this crayon is applying it. It was very easy to apply to both my body and eyes because of how smooth it was. What's not to love about a dual crayon? Cons-it almost matched my exact skin tone so I ended up getting a different effect--still nice but just different.

Eye-Shadow Palette: My FAVORITE part of this collection. I love the really natural eyeshadow featured in this palette, The gold shimmery eye-shadow is perfect for a night out on the town.

Lip gloss: I'm not a huge fan of wearing lip gloss since most of the time I wear lipstick but to my surprise, this lip gloss was very nice. It wasn't too sticky and it wasn't so shiny in your face like a lot of other lip glosses. If you're a fan of shimmery lip gloss you'll definitely fall in love with this lip gloss  since it has a bit of a shimmer to it. I recommend this for those who are lighter than me because it didn't show up orange.

Nail polish: Loved it! My second favorite piece of this collection! Perfect if you want to add a "pop" to dull nail color. I usually apply this over a dull nail polish color.

Mascara: I would rate a 7/10. I'm really picky with mascara but this one surprised me. I only wish it could have had a more dramatic effect.

Overall, I really enjoyed receiving this kit! I had a great time styling myself with this collection! I hope the collection expands to better suit different types of skin tones. This kit seems most suitable for those with lighter skin complexions.
